Holiday Tree

Felt Shape Tree
It's super easy to make!

Supplies needed:
Felt Sheets in a variety of colors
Hot Glue
Velcro
Some sort of filling so that the tree is full. ( You can use pillow filling, tissue paper) be creative!

Use the images above as a guide but it's pretty self explanantory.

1. Cut the shape of your tree and hot glue the edges up until the trunk of the tree

2. Stuff the tree with a filling then finish glueing the edges of the trunk

3. Cut out your shapes in a a variety of colors

4. Place velcro on the back of each shape

There are so many things you can do with your holiday tree!
Take off all the ornaments and have your child put them back according to color and then you could try shapes.

Asking questions and giving directions can be so much fun!
Try these:
a.    Put back all the red shapes
b.    Put all the triangles back on the tree
c.    Count the range shapes
d.    How many circles do you see
e.    Where is the trunk of the tree
f.      Put all the ornaments on the bottom of the tree
g.    Can you put all the ornaments on the edge/border

The tree is double sided so have fun!
Happy Holidays!

Monte Vigne's Second Annual Holiday Yard Trees

Our community in Morgan Hill loves the holiday! As part of our light decorations, each home puts up a christmas tree in the front yard. Last year we had about 50% participation and hopefully this year we will have a 100%.
If you love to drive around town to look at Holiday Lights come on over to Monte Vigne, on the corner of Hill and East Dunne. Type in Domaine Court on you Navigation to drive you over.
Trees will be up this weekend!
